Still Made It To The Gym

Even after a full-day of sitting at a nutrition conference and then driving for 40 minutes, I made it to the gym for a workout.  Glad I did it and feel better for doing it, and now it’s only 8:30pm and I am ready to get some sleep.  Many people do not realize when you are using your brain your glucose levels plummet and hence your glucose requirement escalates.  It is a pretty easy to understand relationship too, the more you stress the brain when learning and studying the more glucose it needs.  For this reason I know how I would feel if I did not eat well and often and stay hydrated during an eight hour learning session.  I start at home with a great breakfast, this morning was a two-egg omelet with green onions and some cottage cheese 1% fat and all my supplements.  Then a couple of hours later a banana and yogurt. Then lunch was two white meat chicken skewers, salad, and steamed veggies and supplements.  Snack two hours later was a protein shake.  One hour later was a cubed mixed fruit bowl.  Dinner consisted of fava beans, salad, and sea bass and supplements.  Of course throughout the entire day I sipped water and stayed well hydrated.  By the end of the day even though I was very exhausted from the listening and learning process I was not that physically tired, so I was able to go to the gym and have a decent workout.

Comments From Other Personal Trainers & 21 Day Switch

Yesterday I had another 90 minute workout at my dentist’s office then I went to the gym again for a modified workout.

I wanted to get in as much as possible this week during the weekdays since I am attending a two-day nutrition conference at U of T this weekend so it is going to be extrememly difficult to get into the gym.

Some trainers saw I was not my typical smiling self and approached me yesterday.  What’s wrong Tony you don’t look like the same person today?  I mumbled with a semi-frozen mouth….I just had a 90 minute dental workout and I am still frozen.  Wow, and you are still in here training?  This was the typical response, but I liked one response the best.

Discipline Your Lifestyle Habits And The Rest Will Follow

Have you gained control over your lifestyle habits yet this year?  I have heard from a lot of people who have not yet been able to discipline themselves after committing to doing so on January 1st or December 31 just before midnight.  Why?  What is going to be the “right time” to finally take control of the habits and lifestyle events which you have control over?  Do not worry about the events in your life that are going to happen regardless of what you do or do not do!

Take control of the following:

Hold Yourself Accountable

Why is it that some people succeed at losing body fat and body weight or change their lifestyle habits on a dime and stick to this forever while others cannot even do it for a week?  I know the answer.  It is not willpower, it is not genetics, it is not being smarter that allows some people to succeed at one of life’s toughest challenges, their own body image and body health challenges, it is “ACCOUNTABILITY TO YOUR END RESULT”.

Those people who hold themselves accountable and don’t allow themselves to be “victims in life” will always be the ones who succeed at the health and fitness game, always!

Fitness Discipline After Dental Procedure

Yesterday I had a 90 minute workout.  This was at my dentists office.  Then shortly after I had a 45 minute leg workout at my gym.

I found it very inspiring to get in the gym, workout, then eat very healthy last night and all day today.  I had to be very careful not to choose the wrong foods and chew down on the dental work I had done or I would have been in a lot of pain.

Five Months Into 2009

Ok, can you believe it is almost June?? This is the time of the year when way back in January I wrote an email to a client who asked me about summer training and bikini season etc.  I told them your summer training should begin now, and if you wait until Spring you will be training for Fall, not summer clothes!

Pick your all-time favorite “Life Experience” and treat your health and fitness goals with this same intensity.  Click the video below where I explain what I mean. Five Months Into 2009

Make A Commitment to Your Goals

Hey everyone who has a goal they haven’t reached!!

I am probably talking to everyone on the face of this planet with todays intro, but that’s my point.

I have a revelation to share with everyone and it is quite simply put, a no-brainer!

Everyone would like to look a certain way, feel a certain level of energy, be healthy and fit with low body fat percentage, get the proper amount of sleep and be stress-free………..RIGHT??

So why are so many people falling short of these goals and continue to chase that elusive “Ideal” life? Make A Commitment to Your Goals

How Are You So Fit…But Use So Much “Oil” In Your Diet?

This is a question which was asked of me not too long ago.  I am Italian you know.  We use a lot of olive oil for many different foods and cooking preparations.

So why am I so fit?  Well, thanks for the compliment first off, and what might seem as a lot of oil to you is but the right quantity for my lifestyle and food choices.

Sugar…..Are You Addicted??

Attention all health and fitness enthusiasts.

Sugar is killing you!  Slowly for some, and very quickly for others.  I want you to watch this video on

SUGAR

and stay tuned to some more posts I will be writing for you on this topic.

Why you should stop eating sugar and all the processed foods you currently eat should be  pretty obvious but if you are addicted it can be pretty challenging right?
