<p>Here is one from Anthony&#8230;..</p>
<p>&#8220;&#8230;was talking to boss about working out, his bench press routine right now consists of 2 or 3 sets of 25 reps of 225, plus 2 or 3 sets of dumbell press with 85&#8217;s or so.  As I try to get back into lifting, I am thinking that I should lean towards slightly higher reps than I have in the past…since I have always tended to try to move up the weight fast, leading to the occasional long-lasting injury.  However, I also recall that Manny (Osteopath), suggested that high reps may put excess stress on tendons.  He was also very much against doing any behind the head exercises (pulldowns or military press) and any exercises while bent over, even with light weights, unless your body was completely supported.  Do you have thoughts on limiting the # of reps per set?  Any thoughts on completely avoiding behind the neck/bent over exercises?&#8221;</p>

<p>Do you know your body?  I mean really know how your body works?  I don&#8217;t want or need you to take a four-year University Degree in Kinesiology or Anatomy and Health Sciences like I did but I do think it would be very wise to learn how your body works and moves if you would like to stay clear of injuries for a long time.</p>

<p>Hiring certified strength and conditioning specialists to teach you how to properly execute fitness exercises is always beneficial.  Stop thinking and treating your body less than you do your car or any other countless possessions in which  you are not an expert in maintaining proper health.  Hire a specialist in all areas of  your life and treat them like your project managers for the various bodyhealth care you require.<br />
Chiropractors, Naturopaths, Osteopaths, RMT&#8217;s etc. are all great people to recruit for a network of Healthcare Professionals to back you up and keep your body healthy.</p>
