Achieving A Fitter, Healthier You Without Injury?

Another great question, this one from Erminia:
How do you optimize your fitness level (cardio, strength, flexibility), while ensuring you’ll be injury free (or almost ensuring). Often times I would like to train towards something like the Ride to Conquer Cancer etc. and am held back because I worry that I will pay for the extra training with my body (back).
Having incorporated Yoga, and using things like chiro, osteo, bowen, massage, accupuncture in my life are tools I thought would really keep me injury free for years. Although I’ve not really experienced anything major, I don’t like to be held back.
Is this just something one has to accept at the ripe young age of 44, or do you have tricks up your sleeve you’d like to share? I’m hoping you have a long sleeved shirt on, and not a tank top – ha!

Another great question, this one about eating and workout timing:
“I’m at work until 5 p.m. every day, when and what should I eat before leaving work to ensure that I am feeling alert and energenic enough to work out when I get home around 6:00 or 6:30? I struggle with feeling tired and hungry when I get home which makes the choice between working out and having dinner a tough one.”

Which Supplements To Buy?

Hey everyone, I am going to be explaining a question posted by some good friends of mine in a video blogspot format below.  However, first I just want to share I am in the midst of checking into a supplement company very closely and it seems they could be my next shining superstar since they are more scientific-based like I am but I need a little more information to confirm my desired fact-finding.

Fitness Discipline After Dental Procedure

Yesterday I had a 90 minute workout.  This was at my dentists office.  Then shortly after I had a 45 minute leg workout at my gym.

I found it very inspiring to get in the gym, workout, then eat very healthy last night and all day today.  I had to be very careful not to choose the wrong foods and chew down on the dental work I had done or I would have been in a lot of pain.

Five Months Into 2009

Ok, can you believe it is almost June?? This is the time of the year when way back in January I wrote an email to a client who asked me about summer training and bikini season etc.  I told them your summer training should begin now, and if you wait until Spring you will be training for Fall, not summer clothes!
